Special opening of museums in Florence
For museums of Polo Fiorentino will be an year's end and beginning of 2014 particularly rich of appointments. Following there is a summary of various initiatives. December 28 (all day): The Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism announced that Saturday, December 28th all-state art places will be open free for all day. December 28 (19-23 hours): Saturday, December 28, 2013 back to Night at the Museum, a project conceived by the Ministry of heritage and cultural activities and tourism, which plans to open in the evening for some culture excellence places between museums and archaeological sites in the state, with a program of side events. From 19 to 23 will be extended the opening hours of Galleria degli Uffizi (last entry at 22), also on Saturday from 19 to 23 will be opened Galleria dell'Accademia (last admission 22.30). And finally the Museum of Medici Chapels (last admission 22.30 ). December 30: Accademia Gallery extraordinarily open Monday, December 30, 2013 from 8.15 to 18.50 , while all the other museums will respect their usual time of closing / opening to the public. December 31: On December 31, the Uffizi Gallery, the Accademia Gallery, the Palatine Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art will close early at 18 pm instead of 18:50. The other museums will respect their usual time of closing / opening to the public. January 1 2014: On January 1, 2014 will be extraordinarily open (free admission) the Medici villas with the following time: Villa Medici at Poggio a Caiano from 9.30 to 15.30 ; Medici Villa of Cerreto Guidi from 13.30 to 19.30 ; Villa Medici Petraia from 9.30 to 15.30 ; Garden of Villa Medici Castello from 9.30 to 15.30. Also on 1 January 2014 will be open to the public exhibition "never seen" in Sala delle Reali Poste from 13.30 to 19.30, with free admission. January 6 2014: Monday, January 6, Accademia Gallery and Uffizi Gallery will be open remarkably from 08:15 to 18:50 , while the other museums in the Polo Fiorentino observe their usual opening and/or closing to the public.
